Just 2 mins walk away is the world famous Salamanca Place- circa 1830's (also famous for its weekly Saturday Markets), with their ancient Georgian design, and original Tasmanian Sandstone structuring, Salamanca Place almost takes you back in time! Or take a wander around Battery Point's Hampton Road. Here you will view some of Hobart’s oldest homes. Arthur’s Circus in Battery Point is also worth a look, this is one of Hobart’s original suburban streets, with the olden style houses still perfectly maintained in their original manner. For an evening treat, only a 5-minute drive away is the Wrest Point Casino. With so much to do, and so much to see, Australia's very first Casino is definitely worth a visit. It is bursting with Restaurants and cosy little bars such as the Bird Cage Bar with nightly live entertainment, and the Sports Bar with its huge screen to keep up to date with the latest sporting events!
